RE-LEGALIZE THE PLANT

Dear Editor,

Nothing is being said about RE-legalizing the plant cannabis (marijuana) to
help lower addiction rates (NTA News: Action Needed On Addiction May 12,
2010).

How many citizens try cannabis and realize it's not nearly as harmful
as prohibitionists claim? Then they think other substances must not be
so bad either, and become addicted to deadly drugs.

The Reefer Madness believers make cannabis out to be among the worst
substances in the world, even though it's less addictive than coffee
and never killed a single person.

Government even classifies cannabis along with heroin, while
methamphetamine and cocaine are lower on the rating.

For the health and welfare of North Americans, that dangerous and
irresponsible message absolutely must change. ??

Further, unregulated sales of cannabis force buyers into contact with
people who often sell hard drugs, which increases addiction rates. In
fact, cannabis has helped many people escape alcoholism and drug addiction.

God indicates He created all the seed bearing plants saying they're
all good (see the first page of the Bible) and since government denies
it, people have suffered needlessly.?
