TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT

In the letter that was printed on Aug. 14, written by Rebecca Finn,
she referred to the high number of DUI arrests due to alcohol. It
appears as though she is trying to make marijuana look good by making
alcohol look bad.

It is bad. It is a terrible shame to our society the number of deaths
on our United States highways every year that are caused by the use
of alcohol. It is heartbreaking the devastating effects that alcohol
has made in the lives of individuals, on the lives of their families
and to our society. It is more devastating than all the wars we have
been involved in or any disease.

That said, I hope that the California voters are intelligent enough
to realize that two wrongs do not make a right. One bad added to
another bad equals double bad.

Legalization of marijuana will definitely not improve the quality of
life in California, but will only bring more heartbreak and
devastation. In November, I urge you to please carefully consider the
consequences and vote against legalization of marijuana for public use.
