LEAVE LAPIHUSKA ALONE

Re "Anniston man finds one state's medicine is another's illicit drug"
(News article, Aug. 18):

A man in Alabama was arrested for possession of a prescription drug. It
shouldn't matter what the drug is. The point is that he had a prescription,
a written letter of recommendation for a drug given to him by a doctor of
medicine. Is it up to the state, any state, or court to tell us what we can
and cannot use for an ailment?

Michael Lapihuska is no danger to himself or any citizen of this state. The
only victims here are him and the people of this state. All charges should
be dropped and an apology given to Lapihuska by the courts for his
inconveniences.

It will be said "People of the state of Alabama vs. Michael Lapihuska."
Well, I am one of the people, and I say let him go and leave the man alone.
