MEDICAL MARIJUANA REGULATIONS HAVE NOT BEEN ENACTED INTO LAW

RE: Group wants municipal participation in medical marijuana
operations ( Northumberland Today, Monday, Oct. 25)

Something no one seems willing to admit to is that the Medical
Marijuana regulations at Health Canada have never been enacted in law.
That means they are nebulous, at best, and completely useless at their
worst.

The program has been ruled unconstitutional four times, and the
government sits in violation of the court ruling by not providing
people's permits in under 30 days.

That technically means that the participants in the program are under
NO legal obligation to adhere to the regulations, nor do the police or
government agencies have ANY jurisdiction to enforce them. The
regulations barely even exist -we all just kind of go along with them
because we think we are supposed to.

If the permit-holder-growers and the municipality want to find a
sustainable peace on this issue, they should join forces, confront the
federal government, and force them to enact a Medical Marijuana
legislation. It will require a lawsuit, however.
