STATE SHOULD CAPITALIZE ON MEDICAL POT MONEY

Like many of my fellow Montanans I was curious about the dispute over
medical marijuana. I decided to see what both sides had to say, so I
visited two websites; above the influence and drug war facts.

These two websites provide contrasting opinions in the debate. My
initial thought was that the anti-marijuana website, above the
influence, was poorly made. The front page for marijuana contains
several inaccuracies that were obviously apparent. There was no
scientific evidence to support their argument.

When I visited the drug war facts webpage, I found all the information
readily available, complete with citations. I can't help but question
the motives behind marijuana prohibition, and the fact that the
anti-marijuana advocates provide only a vague, inaccurate debate
doesn't help. It is obvious that cannabis is less harmful than any
other drug in the world.

Using a vaporizer or eating marijuana allows the individual to avoid
the carcinogens associated with smoking. The remaining health risks
are minor, and when you compare them to other prescription
medications, the side effects are irrelevant. It makes little sense to
return this industry to the gangs and cartels that run the black
market. I have seen the money that medicinal marijuana has brought to
the people of Montana, and I think we should capitalize on it. I
support medicinal marijuana for responsible adults.
