MEDICAL MARIJUANA PROPONENT SCHEDULES BILLINGS EVENTS

Irvin Rosenfeld, a medical marijuana proponent who has been getting
his marijuana from the federal government for 28 years, will be in
Billings for two public events.

On Sunday at 5:30 p.m., he will be at the Red Door Lounge, 3875 Grand
Ave., to talk about medical marijuana and answer questions from the
audience.

He will also be the speaker during a Politics at the Pub event at 5:30
p.m. Tuesday at Bones Brewing, 1425 Broadwater Ave.

Hiedi Handford, founder of Montana Connect, a magazine for medical
marijuana patients and caregivers, said Rosenfeld invites all comers,
including opponents of medical marijuana.

According to Fortune magazine, Rosenfeld is one of four people in the
country who is supplied with medical marijuana by the federal
government. Every 25 days, he goes to a pharmacy and gets a tin of 300
marijuana cigarettes from the National Institute of Drug Abuse, acting
with approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Rosenfeld
smokes the marijuana to relieve chronic pain and muscle spasms caused
by a rare bone disease.

Rosenfeld's appearances are sponsored by Patients Out of Time, which
promotes the benefits of medical marijuana.
