POT SHOULD NOT BE ILLEGAL

Re: RCMP turn attention on cleaning up Cumberland.

You know, I'm getting really tired of the RCMP (and our government)
creating a market for organized crime. Pot should not be illegal, nor
should any other plant. By keeping it illegal the law is simply adding
value to the product because of the risk to grow it, and the folks
willing to take that risk are often willing to protect their crop by
all means necessary. The NICC protect people with medical need from
these often violent people. They deserve a key to the city.

And come on, don't be naive, it's obvious why these laws are in place.
Countless studies have proven the medical efficacy of cannabis, it is
superior than any other plant to be used as a bio fuel and paper
product, and it's ridiculously nutritious. So who benefits from it
being illegal? It's definitely none of us.

Now Harper wants to build super prisons, like the U.S., to house
people growing six plants-on our dime. The police need to do some
serious soul searching, and stand up to the government that is putting
their lives in danger to protect corporate interests. Nobody deserves
to die, or go to prison, over a plant. We have bigger problems in this
world.
