MEDICAL MARIJUANA RAIDS WERE DISCREDIT TO FEDS

I was disappointed after reading The Billings Gazette story on the
raids upon medical marijuana businesses in Montana. No matter which
side of the medical marijuana issue you stand, I believe these raids
were ill-conceived and poorly executed.

If the federal authorities have issue with the medical marijuana
business in Montana, would it not have been better to give the state
of Montana notice that federal laws pertaining to marijuana would
henceforth be enforced so businesses could shut down in an orderly and
safe fashion? Federal agents (who were just doing their job as
ordered) went in with weapons drawn. This action not only put
civilians in harm's way but also placed the agents in jeopardy.

Since not all medical marijuana facilities in Montana were raided, I
do not see justice being enforced equally as demanded by the law.

These actions discredit all agencies involved. The lack of open
communication as to why the raids were conducted only makes matters
worse. I believe that in America we are better than this.
