BLACK-CLAD FEDERAL AGENTS ARE THE SCOURGE, NOT POT

The D.E.A. swept into Montana Monday and raided numerous medical
cannabis facilities across the state, all while the Senate Judiciary
committee debated and voted on whether to proceed with repeal of MT
148.

Whether you are for or against medical cannabis as a viable medical
option for patients, the fact that the federal government came into
the state and terrorized Montanans, none of whom were arrested, should
be chilling to all of us.

Just last month, Attorney General Holder was in Missoula and
reaffirmed the Ogden memo which diverted federal drug policy action
away from legally operating cannabis operations in legal states. The
warrants were sealed and so no one knows why these facilities were
raided. Montanans deserve to know why these facilities were raided.

Medical cannabis in Montana has helped thousands of patients. The
abuses that have occurred over the past two years can be remedied with
appropriate legislation and clearly defined rules. This is clearly a
state issue, and federal involvement is completely inappropriate. I
urge all of you to call or write your local, state and federal
representatives to voice your concern over this aggressive federal
action in our state.

If marijuana is a scourge, what adjective describes the army of
federal agents in black riot gear yielding guns?
