POLITICIANS SHOULDN'T IGNORE WHAT VOTERS WANT

Montana state government wants to "repeal" the law that the citizens
voted into law -- the medical marijuana law. I am by no means an expert
on the fine print that lawyers love nor am I an expert on the law in
general. But, I do understand that if a required majority of the
voters voted for the use of marijuana for medical reasons, then that's
the will of the people, regardless of what a few voted-into-office
politicians think or feel or agree.

These same politicians do not have the right to just ignore what the
voters have voted into law. If they do not like the law, then they
need to go the same route that got the law on the books in the first
place! If the Montana state government were to just repeal the law
without a vote by the people, then they, at that point, stop being a
democratically elected body, and become a dictatorship, period.

I fully agree that a few of those involved in the distribution of
medical marijuana have gotten out of control in the chase for profit,
the underlying source of a majority of the problems that were born
with a new medical marijuana program. The problems can be fixed very
easily, but the puritans who are at the front of all attempts to
eradicate this natural remedy to a host of medical problems are doing
so to satisfy their prejudice of pot, and they do not care how many
true sufferers will lose what little quality of life they have left,
as long as their wants are satisfied.
