Property Owner Johnathon Lescantz Filed For A Major Development Permit To Run The Operation At 194 Maguire Road In The West Valley, But Did Not Get Signatures From Family Members Who Are Co-Owners Of The Property. Planning Director Connie Ternes-Daniels Said Until Lescantz Gathers All The Signatures, They Do Not Have A Full Application To Consider. The Hearing Will Most Likely Be Tabled Indefinitely, Or Continued To The Next Planning Board Meeting On June 13. Ternes-Daniels Said She Has Not Yet Heard From Lescantz On If He Wants To Proceed, Especially Considering A Bill From The Legislature That Would Outlaw Medical Marijuana Storefronts. Senate Bill 423 Has Passed Both The House And Senate, And Is On Gov. Brian Schweitzer'S Desk. The Bill Is Not Yet Law, Though Schweitzer Said He Has No Intention To Veto It And Would Instead Let It Become Law Without His Signature. Lescantz Could Not Be Reached For Comment. He Had Proposed Business Hours From 9 A.M. To 2 P.M. Monday Through Saturday, With Two Or Three Employees And All Product Delivered To Patients. - --- MAP posted-by: Richard R Smith Jr.
