That constitutional amendment was repealed when it created violent criminal activity where none existed before. Our Constitution protects and maintains the rights of the people against their government. What just happened in Tehama County, with an all-out ban of cannabis collectives in unincorporated areas, is unconstitutional, as are all marijuana and hemp laws that have been put on the books since the original stamp act. The stamp act did an end around the Constitution, and no marijuana laws written since can stand up to the Constitution except in a treasonous Supreme Court. Each and every public official takes their own oath to the Constitution of the United States of America. Each and every supervisor who just voted on this has personally violated the constitutional rights of their constituents, by not providing safe access to patients in rural Tehama county. I would strongly recommend lawsuits against these rights-destroying politicians, instead of the government entity that they represent, because the government has protection against such riffraff, also through the Constitution. That's why those officials had to take that oath. Our rights and freedoms are for each individual, but they don't include other people's right to inflict their immoral judgments on humanity. There is nothing more immoral than banning a natural medicine that works better than the commercially available medicines for many ailments, and with much less harm to the body than the chemical substances pushed by the pharmaceutical companies. Protecting the status quo of corporations to the detriment of this country's citizens is not, nor ever has been, the job of our politicians. Rob McDonald, Redding - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
