Simply put, the Obama administration wants a cut of the millions upon millions of dollars being generated in California's newest industry. And all this consternation over what constitutes the legitimacy of it would go away if the pot sellers would do just three things: 1. Create a lawful, mandated membership of all co-ops and use union workers to run it 2. Hire lobbyists 3. Make political contributions They'd have the AFL-CIO, Trial Lawyers of America, and Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein all pushing doors open for them. The only downside is the obvious rise in prices, but so what? It's how the big boys fight city hall.
