MEASURE A IS A LIE

A lie is an interesting concept. To lie is to hold something which
one knows is not the whole truth to be the whole truth,
intentionally. In some situations, including perjury and some fraud,
lying may be punishable by law.

Measure A on Butte County's June ballot is a lie. The measure hardly
tells the whole truth about the intentions. The writers of this law
failed to research and inform the county of possible civil and
criminal law suits and increases to the county's budget.

Measure A supporters say the financial costs are for administration
of $14.000. But where is the funding for cross training sheriff's to
code enforcement officers? Who will pay the additional sheriff's and
code enforcement officers' salaries? The unpublished budget for this
program is to add more officers and staff. Personally I would rather
have the library open more hours.

Measure A supporters also say that no person in Butte County is
mandated to present their medical information to the county registry.
Yet, Measure A says that farmers under this measure will have to file
all patient medical records with the county registry.

A no on Measure A means that carrot, rose, tomato, or
marijuana/cannabis will not need a county greenhouse permit allowed
only on 1.5 acres or more. A no vote means I can garden on 0.5 acres
without a greenhouse permit.
