VESTED INTERESTS

Regarding the not-so-thoughtful letter from ("Marijuana fallout 
high," April 22): A Google search of the author's name reveals that 
he is an agent with the State Bureau of Narcotics. Obviously, he has 
a vested financial interest in the continued prohibition of marijuana.

But he didn't say so; instead, he cited noble reasons, such as 
protecting children. As if our current marijuana prohibition policies 
are protecting children.
