FEDS: 25 MORE COLORADO MARIJUANA BUSINESSES CLOSE, 3RD WAVE OF LETTERS COMING

Closures Include Three Dispensaries in Boulder

All 25 medical marijuana businesses targeted by the second round of
closure letters from the U.S. Attorney's Office -- including three in
Boulder -- shut down in advance of Monday's deadline, federal
officials announced today.

U.S. Attorney John Walsh sent letters to the businesses saying they
were within 1,000 feet of a school and in violation of federal law.
They were given 45 days to close.

Today, the U.S. Attorney's Office said a third wave of letters is
forthcoming, and that "The U.S. Attorney's Office and the DEA will
continue this initiative until all marijuana stores within 1,000 feet
of a school are closed."

Earlier this year, the first wave of enforcement forced the closure
of 23 dispensaries, none of them in Boulder.
