JUDGE TO CHIEF KEEF: 'IT'S GETTING RIDICULOUS'

Chief Keef's lawyers told a Cook County judge today that the Chicago
rapper is making good progress at a pricey drug rehabilitation center
in California.

Still, the judge was clearly losing patience with the multiple court
dates and allegedly positive drugs tests stemming from a case that
started with a speeding ticket the rapper received on the Edens
Expressway last May.

"I've had murderers who haven't had so much time before this court.
It's getting ridiculous. =C2=85 I'm very happy he's doing well, but if he=

comes back dirty, I'm done. This is it," Judge Earl Hoffenberg told
Chief Keef's three lawyers at a hearing at the Skokie courthouse this
afternoon, suggesting he would send the rapper to jail if he fails
another drug test.

Hoffenberg had earlier ordered the rapper, whose real name is Keith
Cozart, into a 90-day drug-treatment program after officials said he
tested positive for drugs on two occasions.

Cozart is 24 days into a 90-day treatment program in California after
his lawyers convinced the judge to let him pursue treatment out of
state. Lawyers said that, after some back-and-forth with Keef's record
label, the company has agreed to pay the $160,000 cost of the 90-day
rehab treatment.

The judge said he wants regular updates until the rapper finishes
treatment and said his random drug-testing will continue.

One of his attorney, Barry Spector said: "He's doing what he's got to
do. He understands what his obligation is."
