CRIME THEIR ONLY HOPE

Re: How one U.S. gun broker moved guns across the border, April 17

The big problem is not where guns come from, it's why there is such a
demand for them in the first place. So long as there is a demand for
anything, be it guns or drugs, there will be a supplier. Governments
took the liquor and gambling business away from the criminals, and
they should do the same by legalizing prostitution and marijuana.
Guns, on the other hand, are a whole different problem. There will be
criminal gangs and a demand for guns as long as there are
marginalized young people who feel that crime is their only hope of
getting both money and respect.
