Epstein MAKE POT LEGAL I am one of the 72 percent of Americans who recognize "government efforts to enforce marijuana laws cost more than they are worth" ("'Correcting' pot law," May 19). That's according to a recent Pew Research Center report titled "Majority Now Supports Legalizing Marijuana." The Massachusetts law passed by voters at the ballot box last fall is horrendously flawed, but not for the reasons advanced in your editorial. The flaw is that it did not repeal the unwholesome and unreasonable, and therefore unconstitutional, prohibition on the cultivation of the marijuana plant and replace it with the least restrictive means to keep marijuana away from children. - Steven S.
