WHERE IS MEDICAL MARIJUANA PROGRAM

Connecticut's "restrictive" medical marijuana program is a failure.
We have yet to see one patient receive state-authorized marijuana. We
are still far from anyone receiving a license to grow and distribute marijuana.

The state proudly proclaimed that this would be the most restrictive
medical marijuana program in the nation, yet if we are to judge the
program by it success in achieving the goals of distributing the
medicine, it is an cruel and abject failure that is keeping sick
people from the medicine they need.

If we were to require that all cancer patients that need opiate-based
medicine to meet the same restrictive requirement that are mandated
for medical marijuana, we would be considered cruely indifferent to
their suffering.

The state's restrictive policies have resulted in a cruel deception
to the sick and disabled patients who require marijuana.
