ARGUMENT GETS LOST IN A HAZE

What has Tom Keane been smoking that he could write that "medical pot 
is just a subterfuge for getting high"? Keane ("The drug divide," 
Op-ed, Sept. 8) owes an apology to the many patients who successfully 
use cannabis to manage otherwise intractable chronic pain, and to the 
rest of us for not doing his homework.

If he "wonders where to draw the line" between the drug "Molly" and 
marijuana, one distinction is between four Molly overdose deaths in a 
week and zero marijuana overdose deaths in the past century.
