REGULATING MARIJUANA'S CONSUMPTION- AND ITS SMELL

Re: "Council to look at pot use from an odor angle," Oct. 11 news story.

I am glad our elected officials are spending their time and our money
on important issues related to quality of life. While they're
considering banning the scent of marijuana, perhaps they'd do
something about the smell of barbecued steak, which offends my vegan
friend, or outlaw my alley neighbor's cigars. Better yet, please
prohibit anyone from dousing themselves with Axe body spray.

Denver has numerous ordinances which the city or police either cannot
or will not enforce, such as the sound of loud parties or thundering
car stereos. Perhaps this is an opportunity to encourage civility:
Don't blow your smoke in my yard and I won't cook liver and onions.
