REGULATING MARIJUANA'S CONSUMPTION- AND ITS SMELL

I would like to applaud Mayor Michael Hancock for his proposal to
enforce the ban on public consumption of marijuana. Amendment 64
included the language that there shall be no public consumption of
marijuana, and it is the city and state's responsibility to ensure
the enforcement of the law. There should not be a "pick and choose"
position for public pot consumption-no public consumption means no
public consumption. We cannot decide that one part of Amendment 64
should be strictly enforced, and another loosely enforced or not
enforced at all. Mayor Hancock is attempting to keep those who use
marijuana legally within the boundaries of Amendment 64, and provide
those whose job it is to enforce those boundaries the clear direction to do so.
