DEBUT OF RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA SALES

I am proud Colorado is the first state in the nation to legalize and
regulate the sales of recreational marijuana. Please, store owners,
don't kill the goose that laid the golden egg. Charging almost double
the price for recreational vs. medicinal marijuana will do just that.
Why the need to gouge?

The first customer on Wedneday paid $59.74 for an eighth of an ounce
of pot (including $10.46 in taxes), more than double what the black
market would charge. Maybe out-of-state tourists will be willing to
pay that, but not Colorado residents. The price with taxes has to be
comparable to what the black market would charge or this experiment
will not work.

Please, store owners, check your greed so that Colorado can be the
successful regulatory model we all want it to be.
