LEGALIZE MARIJUANA, AND COLLECT THE TAX

The debate over the medical use of marijuana revels just how much 
influence money and politics have on legislation in this country.

Just stop and think for a moment that alcohol kills tens of thousands 
of people each year through addiction, disease and vehicle accidents. 
Also consider the detrimental effects of tobacco, which have been 
documented for decades. Why are they even debating the medical use of 
a known beneficial plant, when both alcohol and tobacco are legally 
sold with the blessings of all local and state governments? Why? 
Because of the money the sale of those products brings in. No other reason.

The regulation of the sale of this drug will not only benefit the 
people medically but it will also bring in badly needed taxes and 
profits. It makes no sense to not legalize the sale and regulation of 
medical marijuana.
