LEGAL MARIJUANA REAL THREAT TO SCOTT

It is becoming increasingly clear to a majority of Florida voters 
that medical marijuana should be legal, as noted by your recent 
editorial supporting a constitutional amendment (Wednesday, "Let 
marijuana be legalized for medical use").

It is also obvious that to be re-elected, Gov. Rick Scott must limit 
the off-season 2014 balloting, as he knows the number of registered 
Republicans is decreasing.

It does not take a Carnac the Magnificent to predict what the future 
holds for Florida politics. Scott sees the medical marijuana 
amendment as the biggest threat to his re-election, as it will draw 
more Charlie Crist voters.

Let's watch in the coming weeks as Pam Bondi and the Florida Supreme 
Court strain for loopholes and technicalities on which to hang their 
wrecking ball of ballot disqualification.
