'REEFER MADNESS' MENTALITY IS OUTDATED

Dr. Francescutti goes on about a lack of serious clinical testing 
with regards to medical marijuana (of which there is an abundance) 
and asks whether Canadians would want their physicians to prescribe 
something that has not been peer reviewed.

But doctors were more than willing to prescribe OxyContin to 
thousands of patients, ending in an epidemic, stating this 
peer-reviewed drug was perfectly safe.

Now the intimation is to spend another decade or so going over the 
same information we've had for decades. Why this double standard?
