Tilray, located at Duke Point, has been busy trimming, photographing and testing marijuana as it prepares for its first shipments, according to company vice president Philippe Lucas. Tilray has also had a steady stream of interest from locals, with over 1,000 applications being taken in since the company started accepting resumes. "We're settling into a really nice groove," said Lucas. He added that he initially didn't know quite what to prepare for, given that Tilray is one of the first large-scale marijuana production facilities in Canada. Since legislation changes on April 1, the company has been registering patients, testing cannabis and trimming plants. "Just business as usual," Lucas said. "Of course, we're in the business of producing a premium quality cannabis supply for critically and chronically ill Canadians. The patient is never lost here at Tilray." Pricing for cannabis will be available before the end of the week, and Lucas said the company is still hiring sales and customer service representatives. - --- MAP posted-by: Jo-D
