ALLOW FOR MORE EXTENSIVE MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Gov. Chris Christie is ignoring the will of the people with his 
irrational "reefer madness" opposition to marijuana legalization 
("Christie: No to legalizing pot, maybe to expanding medical," April 10).

As a medical marijuana patient and frequent nonprofit underground 
medicinal distributor, I have seen firsthand marijuana's beneficial 
effects. I am proud to say I help distribute high-quality medical 
marijuana products for patients all across New Jersey, despite 
Christie's de facto ban on an effective medical marijuana system.

People like me aren't going away. Any New Jersey jury would show 
compassion instead of convicting me for my legitimate medical activities.

I just hope the next governor lets people like me come in from the 
cold and take part in a state-recognized system to help other 
patients without fear of arrest.
