Emery served four and a half years in a U.S. prison for selling seeds to buyers in that country and was extradited from Canada to serve the time. Emery has promised to stage rallies and targeted attacks against the Conservatives. His wife Jodie Emery said once in Canada the campaign will begin immediately. "We'll spend five days out east because Toronto has a lot of media, a lot of supporters," said Jodie Emery. "It's kind of ironic cause Detroit is where he smuggled up High Times magazines in the earliest days when they were illegal in Canada to sell them to break that law against drug literature." Emery said her husband could remain in the immigration centre anywhere from a few days to a few months. - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
