PRINCE OF POT LEAVING U.S.

Marc Emery to be turned over to Canadian officials

Marc Emery, the Prince of Pot, is almost home.

Marc Emery, seen with wife Jodie, will be released from a Louisiana
jail on Tuesday.

He is scheduled to be flown from a Louisiana jail to Detroit on
Tuesday, escorted by U.S. marshals while shackled and turned over to
Canadian officials, his wife Jodie Emery said on Friday.

Emery was sentenced to five years in a U.S. federal prison after
pleading guilty to selling marijuana seeds in the U.S. through his
Vancouver-based mail-order company.

"It's very exciting," said Jodie, who like her husband is a marijuana
advocate. "It's been a long road. "But in other ways, I was so busy,
time flew by, it's amazing how much has been accomplished."
