For starters, Emery never sold "dope;" he sold seeds of a plant, a plant found in nature, a plant used by millions to successfully treat many medical conditions. As polls show that an overwhelming majority of B.C. residents are in favour or legalizing marijuana, and with two U.S. states now legally allowing the sale of marijuana, the writer who suggested that Emery "repent" for his crimes, showed just how out of touch he is with the desires of the majority of his neighbours. One writer pointed out that marijuana is still illegal here, and suggested that Marc and his wife use their energy in a more productive manner until such time as it's legal. These comments just serve to show that the writer is oblivious to what Marc Emery has been for several decades now - an activist who has devoted his life to the legalization of marijuana. I applaud Marc's continued efforts, as do many Canadians. Scott Henderson, Vancouver - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
