PASSING THE JOINT: THERE IS A REEFER REVOLUTION GOING ON. WHERE ARE
THE WEED SMOKING CELEBRITIES?

Snoop Dogg says he smoked weed in the White House. Hey Snoop, can you
donate some cash and cannabis to The Legalize Marijuana Party of NJ?

Acknowledgement of marijuana use is at an all-time high. But Snoop
trumps everyone with location, location, location! He may not be the
first, but he is bragging about smoking in the White House. According
to Bill O'Reilly's website, 86% of Americans believe marijuana should
be legal. Celebrities and politicians seem to be tripping over one
another to point out that they smoke marijuana.

The defining moment when the national perception of a stoner went from
Cheech & Chong to Presidential came in 2008: When presidential
candidate Senator Barack Obama was asked if he inhaled, he responded,
"that was the point." I voted for him more because he was a "stoner"
than because he was a black man. I had hope that he'd legalize.

Why hasn't this former stoner simply changed marijuana's federal
classification and made it legal?

During my 30+ years of smoking marijuana, I've often said: If I were
rich, I'd invest in marijuana-legalization efforts. Many celebrities
have likely said it too, but when they get rich and find themselves
above the law, they forget. But while they get great legal defenses
and continue on with life, their poor childhood friends still go to
jail and have their lives ruined. You want to give something back to
the hoods? Support a Cannabis Candidate, support legalization.

In their youth Barack and his friends smoked marijuana and called
themselves the Choom Gang. So this "stoner" Barack, the leader of the
Choom Gang, became the most powerful man on the planet and he hasn't
legalized it. He's allowing the destruction wreaked by the U.S. war on
cannabis consumers to continue. He's allowing the destruction of young
men just like the Choom Gang leader that he was.

Potheads overwhelmingly voted for Barack in 2008. I held a celebration
for him in 2010. In 2013 I also did 143 days in Burlington County's
"death house" jail. Obama can nod his head and people die halfway
around the world. He could just as easily change the federal
classification of marijuana if he were being true to himself as a "stoner."

As a poor man, I've invested way too much time, effort, and familial
sacrifice, but I still have pipe dreams of getting rich and spending
my millions on cannabis legalization.

Was it a mistake that I took Bob Marley's words seriously, "Get up,
stand up, stand up for your rights," by fighting to end cannabis
prohibition? Nah. Very few things would make me happier than ending
the war on weed. But where are the celebrities in this reefer revolution?

Many stars and athletes consume massive amounts of expensive
high-grade cannabis. They brag about it on TMZ, rappers and rockers
sing about it. There is an online list of NBA players caught smoking
weed - an enormous list. The NBA practically tells players months in
advance when they'll be tested, and still there are dumbaes who fail.
I've never failed a pee test, and I was a trucker for 12 years. NBA
members should be passing cash to cannabis candidates (such as, hint
hint - me), like they pass those blunts between themselves. But they
don't.

The Salem witch trials lasted 15 months and resulted in the deaths of
20. The U.S. war on potheads has lasted 77 years so far, with hundreds
of thousands of casualties. I think all celebrity cannabis consumers
should join agains the war on marijuana from the "We The People" side.
#snoopdogg, #whizKalifa, #kevinsmith, #queenLatifah, #legalizeNJ hashtag
every pothead celebrity you know and re-post this on twitter.

Back to Snoop Dogg in the White House with the leader of the Choom
Gang, he is the President. Still, 900,000 Americans, including 22,000
New Jerseyans, get arrested for marijuana each year - mostly black
men. And while these two particular black men were chillin' in the
White House, I wonder if either asked the other: What are you doing to
stop the flow of "us" into America's 21st-century concrete plantation
systems?
