Why does the law allow opium to be grown, prescribed and given to people but medical cannabis cannot? As a parent of a disabled child who suffers from severe epilepsy (up to 100 seizures a day and taking medication), I think this is a disgrace. We are allowed to give a drug to stop people from a bit of pain, but we are not allowed to give a drug that will reduce severe pain and seizures.
