IT'S UP TO THE VOTERS

Re: March 28, editorial "Dangerous Dithering On Medical Marijuana"

Tallahassee today reminds me of the 1950s, when the place was run by
North Florida's 'Pork Chop Gang' and the joke was that district lines
were drawn according to the number of pine trees.

Democrats knew they'd be re-elected because they always had. Then, in
the turbulent times of the '60s and '70s, Florida became a two-party
state. Incumbents began to be challenged, and challengers began to
win.

Florida is overdue for change to vote out today's cynical politicians
and get leaders who value public service more than
re-election.
