STOP WASTING MONEY ON REEFER-MADNESS NOTION

Re: "Victoria mulls crackdown on marijuana businesses," May 5.

It is vitally important that Mayor Lisa Helps and the entirety of 
Victoria's city staff continue their crusade against medical 
marijuana. This is clearly the No.1 priority for our elected 
officials and civil servants.

Heaven forbid that a medical-marijuana user should have to pass in 
front of one shop to buy their medicine at another shop on the same 
block - or worse yet, have to walk past a playground!

Forget about bridges, sewage, composting, highway interchanges, 
amalgamation, earthquake preparedness, homelessness - let's spend all 
of our tax money on combating the reefer-madness notion of supplying 
medical marijuana to those who need it.

All in favour? I thought not.
