For most of my life I didn't think I'dmake it to 51. If you read my Column last Oct. 14, 2014, "Suicide is not a crazy option," you'd know what I This birthday is drastically different from previous years. Last year on my silver 50th I was miserable. I was in a full leg cast recovering from surgery to remove a bone tumor from my right femur; I was depressed, flat broke, unemployed, and had nothing planned. This is the first birthday in three years that I'm actually happy-so happy, in fact, that I'm having a party for myself at THE JOINT because I'm that vain. All potheads (cannabis consumers) are. As happy as I am personally, I'm still pissed at the state of New Jersey, Governor Christie, and the morons who enforce the war on drugs. There is nothing currently as stupid in America as our nation's unbelievable war on marijuana users; nothing on the law books as obviously stupid since the "Salem Witch Trials." Millions ignore the law, or, as I use as my motto, "F-the law smoke it anyway!" 900,000 Americans are arrested each year for marijuana, while millions of others in states like California, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, and Alaska are simply taxed. Isn't there a constitutional amendment that mandates equal protection - - 14th? I believe we need a federal marijuana constitutional amendment at this point in history. I'm hoping Gov Christie's 2016 run for the Republican nomination for president sheds some light on his bozolike pot politics. He is polling at about 5% now and probably won't even make the cut for the first debates-top 10 candidates. There are 17 Republicans now vying for the nomination. In my best sarcastic voice, "I feel bad for my pal, the Jersey guy, and if I were to give him some advice (again), I'd advise him to do a public flip-flop 'Sanjay Gupta style' and call for MJ legalization." Really, if he did that he'd propel himself past Donald Trump and his whacky statements. Across the fold from last week's Column "The real meaning of the Confederate flag," was a story about a city worker named Rashawn Davis: "Trenton Water Works employee busted with marijuana at work." The story said Davis was arrested after police received tip that he was "allegedly" involved in drug activity while at work. How friggin' stupid of the law. Arresting or punishing anyone for using, possessing, or distributing any amount of natural marijuana is stupid. Cannabis (marijuana's real name) has never killed anyone EVER and helps millions daily; it's our Government and the stooges like the RAT who told Now he's fired-lost his family's income, and the state is going to waste resources prosecuting him while supporting his family in some way. He will forever have problems with employment now thanks to this RAT. His kids will go without, like mine did at times. The story should have said some slimy snitch ratted on a fellow worker and ruined his life because he smokes marijuana instead of tobacco, the dangerous government-sanctioned drug. (I hope your reading this, you Snitch, and you have a horrible rest of your life!) Davis was charged with marijuana possession after police found him with 10 grams of pot (the amount I smoke in three days, less than a pack of cigarettes) while working at the Water Filtration Plant on Route 29. Rashawn, if you're reading this, come through NJWeedman's JOINT and let's smoke a bowl from my Chalice. I want to help you with your case. Google: NJWEEDMAN JURY NULLIFICATION. Davis will most likely be tried by a Trenton municipal Judge, municipal prosecutor, and public defender while not being allowed to utilize a jury. Which is unfortunate because I don't think a jury of 12 will convict anyone of violating the dumbass marijuana laws if the person fights the case all the way to a jury with the argument that the law is wrong not them. Over 90% of marijuana cases are plead out and don't go to trial. Which is horrible considering more than 50% of Americans believe that marijuana should be legal and the law is wrong. Statistics favor a marijuana defendant in that the numbers suggest a juror might be a weed smoker and surely at least 50% of the jurors will also believe marijuana should be legal. A jury can render a verdict of its conscience and can judge a law as well as the facts. Politicians and lawyers try to keep people-potential jurors-from knowing I'mnot a nut and I used it anyway. With this logic and strategy I bragged to The Trentonian before my trial on Oct. 12, 2012, that, "I'M CONVICTION PROOF as jury is se to convict, to hang my jury-again. My jurors hung 7-5 in May 2012 with the NOTE: I absolutely many of them have willingly accepted revisionist history with this claim of heritage not hate. I can't believe so many people can just accept a totally made up history storyline as these buffoons have. Most of them claimed the Civil War had nothing to do with slavery with a farcical contention that it was about states' rights (the Tenth Amendment)-WTF are they smoking, definitely not the good stuff I'm inhaling and inviting Rashawn Davis to smoke with me. It was the only reason, people! The Confederacy That flag represented that people owning other people ideology. - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
