I think the letter-writer misses Green Party Leader Elizabeth May's point. She is not condoning expansion of marijuana use. Rather, May acknowledges that prohibition does not work; we only have to look at the history of prohibition and alcohol. So why not recognize that marijuana consumption will continue, whether it is legal or not?
