Colleen McCool said deputies picked her up, booked her, then drove her home when it was over. She was released on a personal recognizance bond, meaning she didn't have to post any money. "We asked her to sign an affidavit saying she would not flee the area and would show up for her court date," Sheriff Tommy Bryant said. Bryant said her age and health were a consideration in allowing her to go home. McCool is a longtime advocate for legalizing marijuana. Her home was raided by authorities on Sept. 17 after a DPS narcotics helicopter spotted marijuana plants growing on her property. Deputies seized about 25 plants, weighing more than 4 pounds after they were dried. McCool has been charged with possession of marijuana, a state jail felony. Her husband is also facing similar charges. - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
