OREGON POT STORES SELL MORE THAN $11 MILLION IN FIRST 5 DAYS

SALEM (AP) - The Oregon Retailers of Cannabis Association estimates 
that marijuana stores sold more than $11 million of marijuana during 
the state's first week of legal recreational sales.

Oregon sales outpaced the first week of recreational sales in 
Colorado and Washington, the Statesman Journal of Salem reports. 
Colorado's first week of sales reached $5 million. In Washington 
state, sales during the first month hit $2 million.

Retailers of Cannabis Association Executive Director Casey Houlihan 
says the first day of sales in Oregon brought in $3.5 million.

Marijuana stores opened their doors to recreational users on Oct. 1.
