Is his position related to the public or economic good - or does it have everything to do with protecting the multi-million-dollar gamble the big growers of medical marijuana have made on controlling the market? Big alcohol producers managed to do the same after prohibition ended, and the lingering policy effects are still felt today - just ask Toronto Distillery Co. about their constitutional challenge. A "craft" market sector in recreational pot is a huge threat to medical growers' viability. They are working to snuff out competition before it even begins.
