You would think that grieving families such as his would demand that the politicians make changes in the current situation to reduce or eliminate such tragedies. My son, Peter, died 23 years ago after ingesting some street heroin. Since that awful day, my wife and I have been working hard to convince our governments to put an end to the prohibition of certain drugs because we believe that, just as the prohibition of alcohol poisoned many users many years ago, the prohibition of other drugs does likewise today.
