The truth is that cannabis doesn't cause death and hasn't killed a single person in over 5,000 years of documented use. That's safety on a Biblical scale. The unfortunate incidents linked in the editorial include people using cannabis with prescription drugs, alcohol and illicit narcotics along with people that have had prior mental health illnesses. When readers consider nearly $1 billion worth of cannabis products were legally purchased and used last year alone it is apparent the risks and side effects associated with using the plant is relatively miniscule.
