POT DISPENSARY DIDN'T DESERVE FRONT PAGE

Re: "Second pot dispensary opens on Baker St."

The Nelson Star should be ashamed. Putting a story about a new pot
dispensary on the front page of the paper and detailing their business
is essentially giving a premium one page ad for free to an illegal
business.

It is upsetting to me as a woman who owns a legal business in town and
would love a lengthy free article about my company in the paper. The
story should not have been front page news and should have focused on
the industry and what Nelson is doing instead with a one-liner that
another dispensary has opened.

I am not against using marijuana but detailing it as a woman's
business and the reason why it was started along with a photo is just
irresponsible and unfair reporting.
