ANTI-MARIJUANA VOTE SHOWS HYPOCRISY OF CONSERVATIVES

Republicans and conservatives claim to hold dear the Constitution,
yet totally abandon it in their crusade against medical marijuana in
Butte County.

Measure H is a direct violation of the Constitution in several key
ways. First, it removes due process, one of the strongest
cornerstones of our country's legal system. Second, various Fourth
Amendment violations occurred in 2015 at the hands of Butte County
sheriff and code enforcement, including bypassing gates and
trespassing on private property without a warrant. These stories
don't make the news, but if you experienced or heard of them, they
would sound more like a gestapo police state than a free America.

Regardless of your views on medical marijuana, a true Republican and
conservative values the Constitution first and foremost. Laws similar
to Measure A and H have been deemed illegal and excessive in other
California courts (Fresno). Several other counties have been sued
millions of dollars for Fourth Amendment violations.

The Board of Supervisors and Measure A supporters have adopted
tactics and mindsets that more closely mirror the irrational gun
control lobby than true Republicans and conservatives. We wasted over
a million dollars last year when that money could have gone to
schools, roads or to fight the massive meth and heroin problem in this county.

Private property rights, the right to due process and the right to be
free from unreasonable search and seizure are key components of our
Constitution and must be defended at all costs. Vote no on measure G and H.
