Both articles, but especially one of his comments on the front page, indirectly give Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberal government the green light to continue going forward with their nationally destructive efforts to legalize marijuana. Even though the chief said he is "not in favour" of legalizing marijuana, at the same time the paper does not say or show that he offers any strong serious resistance to it being legalized. If Trudeau gets his reckless way here, against the will of the majority of Canadians again and, if pot becomes legal, it will be giving an invitation to the devil himself and to his demons to break loose more hell in our country Canada, and then into the U.S. Before Prime Minister Trudeau came on to the political scene last year, Canadian and American authorities were struggling with illicit drugs, but were still able to keep marijuana from spreading to new growers, new sellers, and especially new users. The police were able to keep some law and order by keeping the weed from getting out of control. But if that brain and body numbing substance becomes legal... then the majority of Canadians can kiss their peace and freedoms goodbye. The police will not be able to stop the increase of violence, suicides, suffering, and vehicle accident fatalities that legal pot will surely cause, even if the police do get good roadside machines to test marijuana in someone's system. Plus, the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police recommendations, to the Ontario government, are only going to encourage Trudeau and the federal Liberals even more with their pot plans, no matter who stands against it. What is stopping our Ontario police from focusing more on doing their best to help prevent trouble they can see developing, rather than waiting until it happens. Crime prevention is always easier and less expensive on people than having to find a remedy afterward. Besides, legal pot will require hiring many more officers to try and keep some control. That will require a much larger police budget which the province certainly cannot afford. Gordon Snell - --- MAP posted-by: Matt
