ARE YOU KIDDING ME? "Nobody got hurt" I had to re-read that excerpt from the letter Alex Rubalcava (June 16) wrote regarding former Deputy Police Chief Keith Foster. "He has been punished enough. He made a bad choice. No one got hurt. No one is perfect." Are you kidding me? Illegal drug abuse is at an all-time high. Where does Alex Rubalcava think these addicts get the pills? From people just like him! "He risked his life for 30 years on the force." How many lives has Mr. Foster risked by contributing to the distributing of drugs? How many of those have lost their lives? How many families have been torn apart due to illegal drug abuse? "Nobody is perfect and he deserves a second chance." My friend's beautiful daughter overdosed recently. She's never going to get a second chance. What if he sold drugs to a 14-year-old child and he or she died from an overdose? Would Alex Rubalcava plead his case for leniency? "Ah, it's OK, judge. It was a simple mistake." Mr. Foster is no better than the corner drug dealer selling poison to our children. He is worse. He did it while in uniform. Mr. Foster deserves the maximum. Wearing a badge does not put him above the law. Cynthia Woods, Clovis
