Lake Central High School junior Will Rogers told WGN9 he shot video of the incident through a classroom window. "She's in the corner, hiding with a chair and a book and what appears to be cocaine, putting it into lines," Rogers told the TV station. "When I actually watched the footage again and again and I just realized that my english teacher just did cocaine." The St. John (Indiana) Police Department said it was notified by school administrators about 11:30 a.m. that a teacher was suspected of having an illegal narcotic. Investigators conducted an investigation, police said, and arrested 24-year-old Samantha Cox. She faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. WGN9 reported Cox was a second-year English teacher. "School officials and police want to recognize and praise the student witnesses that brought this information to the attention of the principal very quickly," said a police department statement. "Their actions showed a tremendous amount of fortitude and integrity and enabled staff to address this situation promptly." - --- MAP posted-by: Matt
