I myself am opposed to these so-called "safe" injection sites. Sure, it will save people from overdosing on heroin, but it also enables those to go out and do it all over again and again. It's unsafe for you to be injecting this poison into your body in the first place. I know drug addiction is a serious disease, but there are a few programs out there that can help you overcome this evil addiction. Thumbs up for those who want to quit and take advantage of these programs. At the same time, I frown on those who do not want to help themselves. For those that don't want help and are on social assistance, they should have their benefits cut until they enrol in an addiction program. I'm sorry, but that would be tough love. To suggest that all drugs be legalized is ludicrous. Dawson is basically saying that crystal meth should also be legalized. We have addicts now walking around with sunken-in faces and being underweight and often stealing in order to get their next fix. If you legalize all drugs, watch our crime rates skyrocket.
