Besides causing serious damage to young developing brains, using pot can also lead to very aggressive behaviour is some people. The bottom line is very little is known about the long-term health effects of the 80 cannabinoids contained in marijuana. One thing we do know from the experiences in Colorado and Washington states, after legalization, is there will likely be more impaired drivers on our highways leading to more road deaths and young people will gain access to the drug with dire consequences. It is nice to see Conservative senators are refusing to bow to pressure from the Trudeau-controlled Senate and are carefully weighing the many negative aspects of legalizing pot and not simply rubber stamping the Bill to legalize it like their Liberal colleagues. Sadly, in anticipation of billions in pot revenue, all governments are refusing to see the many negative impacts on our ailing healthcare system, the policing of chaotic new pot laws, plus organized crime's involvement in illicit pot sales and the degradation of our cities, do to pot tourism. Colorado has had a spite in both crime and homelessness since pot legalization. One thing for sure, Canada as we have known it is about to undergo radical changes after pot is legalized!
